Easier installation, better looking results

Walpole produces practical and high-quality custom cabinets that cater to a professional's need for on-site efficiency, as well as a homeowner's desire for beautiful aesthetics. Our manufacturing process incorporates construction methods that save time on site. • Multiple cabinets can be "ganged" in runs of up to ten feet, even when abutting cabinets are different sizes. That's not common, and means fewer single cabinets to handle on-site, leading to less cabinet manipulation during installation, less risk of damage, and fewer seams for a better visual finish. • Our cabinets can come with flush-finished, seamless end panels eliminating the need for on-site notching to fit crown molding and/or light rails during installation. • Pre-installed extended rails and soffits are built to your specs and incorporated into the face frame rather than provided as extras. That means less work assembling on-site. • Even our Crown Molding is different. Walpole Crown Molding is made in runs of up to 14 feet. Other companies provide shorter lengths, creating more work on-site, and increasing the risk of visible seams.

Fully custom to 1/16" of your specs

If you can envision it, we can build it. In fact, we've probably built something similar. Our team of veteran craftsman have lifetimes of experience to draw on when making your vision come to life. We'll offer guidance on the practicality of a design, and we're at the ready when standard cabinets won't work in special spaces or particular designs. Arched valances or onlays and feet? Can do. Odd angles or narrow spaces? You're covered. Custom colors and stains? All can be specified – sometimes even on the same cabinet. Whether one cabinet, or one hundred, what you can expect from Walpole is complete design flexibility.

We cut time, not corners

Our cabinets are manufactured with high-quality, durable materials that you and your clients can count on. Cabinet frames are of quality hardwood, free from knots, pitch marks, sanding scars, or grain irregularities. Cabinet boxes are constructed of sturdy, ½” plywood, grooved to accept ¼” plywood backs. Shelves are of quality plywood at least ¾” thick. And Walpole Cabinets come with high-quality Blum hardware for years of quiet and smooth operation.

But with Walpole, there's a little something more: Craftsmanship born of experience that perfectly blends aesthetics with practicality. For example: Our ¼” cabinet backs are built up with ½" plywood hanging rails on top and bottom for more secure installation. Multiple cabinets can be "ganged" in runs up to ten feet, leaving fewer seams and saving time on-site. Frames built with butt joints, pocket screws and reinforced with commercial glue provide strength and beauty but are more efficient to manufacture. That keeps quality up, and costs down. Our choice of Blum hardware is best in class, with features like drawer slides that carry loads of at least 75 pounds and run on nylon bearings, allowing drawers to open fully and quietly. High-quality finishes are spray-applied using a catalyzed, conversion varnish that resists wear and tear.

Face – visible pieces from the front

Walpole cabinet frames are of quality hardwood, free from knots, marks, and irregularities. Assembling with butt joints, pocket screws and glue reinforcement provides better strength than mortise & tenon and is more efficient to manufacture. Door frames are mortise & tenon. Door & drawer center panels are hardwood when stained, or stable and seamless mdf when painted.

Frame – the back and interior framework

High-quality materials are always used in a Walpole cabinet – even when you can’t see them. Cabinet boxes are constructed of sturdy, ½” plywood, grooved to accept ¼” plywood backs. Shelves are of quality plywood at least ¾” thick. No particle board or melamine find there way into cabinets by Walpole.

Ends – cabinet sides exposed to view

Walpole cabinet high-quality plywood end panels are attached to the frame securely from the inside out leaving no visible marks. And with Walpole cabinets, end panels can be manufactured flush and seamless. That makes for a better finish & less install time when adding crown molding or rails. Other companies often leave an unsightly reveal causing more on-site work.

Cabinet Drawers

Drawer fronts in your Walpole cabinets come in many styles and profiles. Drawer boxes are of quality hardwood, dovetailed for strength, and grooved to accept the drawer bottom. Bottoms are installed with high-quality Blum undermount soft-close runners for years of smooth and quiet operation.

Cabinet Doors

Walpole door panels come in hundreds of styles and profiles and are built to last and look great for years. Center panels are seated into deep grooves within hardwood rails and stiles, allowing room to move with changes in temperature and humidity. Tiny pads keep the panels securely centered and looking great.

Hardware

Walpole cabinets come with high-quality Blum hardware. Drawers have side-mounted slides that are much stronger than a single slide centered underneath, run quietly on nylon bearings, and can carry loads of at least 75 pounds. Door hinges are sturdy and have six-way adjustment. Shelves are adjustable and supported by metal shelf clips, not plastic ones.
